This Antique E.G. Webster and Son Quadruple Plate 2-Handled Container is an unusual and interesting piece. It has intricate vine and serpent-like patterns which surround a face in the center of the rim on each side. It is over 100 years old and would make an great conversation piece with its very well aged, antique patina and details. Mark on the bottom has a W inside a star and web, signifying the maker as E.G. Webster & Son of New York City. Also states: “Quadruple Plate Des Pat Aug 25 03. 95.
Note: Very weathered and tarnished, as shown in photos. Silver plate is peeling away in parts, revealing dark gray metal beneath. Silver is dull and blotchy.
